Melaka is known for having
many great weekend retreats and one of them is Pulau
Besar which is a beautiful island located about ten miles away
from the Malacca Port. Attractions found at this
southeastern part of Melaka include some historic graves
and also places which offered reminders of the Japanese
occupation during World War II but the main attraction
to Pulau Besar is the clean clear water found here which

traveling in a boat from Umbai jetty, Anjung Batu jetty
or from the harbormaster's jetty in Malacca town.
