The Royal Malaysian Navy
Museum in Melaka is an exciting tourist attraction since
this place houses various navy memorabilia and equipment
used during the days when computerize system was not
invented yet. The best exhibit are the salvaged remnants
of pottery from the Diana which sank in Melaka in 1817
while on its way to Madras from Canton. About twenty
tons of precious chinaware was recovered during a
salvage operation in 1993 from the sunken cargo of the Diana. This museum
is located just opposite the Maritime Museum.
