One of the more
popular golf courses in Selangor is the
beautifully designed golf course at the Monterez
Golf and Country Club which is found at 141,
Jalan Merah Kesumba in Shah Alam. Tourists can
get to this amazing golfing destination by
traveling using the Federal Highway and then
follow the right flyover once reaching the toll
booth. The famous golf course is built of
international standard which depicts a steady
mix of shot values suited for the natural
terrain and all levels of golfers. I was once
told by a regular golfer here that every club in
the bag will be utilized here.
The green here is
designed by Peter Dalkeith Scott and Partners
and golfers will be delighted by the many
challenges provided by its hilly terrain,
islands, trees and water features. Greenless
Park covered the fairways while the greens are
covered with Bermuda Tifdwarf. Some of its
signature holes include the par 5 4th
hole, par 4 7th hole and the par 4 17th
hole and first timers may think that this course
here is easy to play in but most of the times
they will be proven wrong on this quite narrow
and undulating layout. Golfers must make
reservation in advance since this golf club in
Selangor is always packed during the weekends.
