SEREMBAN LAKE GARDENS - NEGERI SEMBILAN

SEREMBAN LAKE GARDENS

CENTRAL OF MALAYSIA

This beautiful park in the heart of Seremban town is ringed by many interesting buildings such as the State Assembly, the State Mosque, the State Library and Istana Hinggap, the city palace of the State's Ruler. The State Assembly Building located close to the park combines both modern and traditional design, with unique local craftwork incorporated into its elegant interior while the library is a fine Edwardian building with arches and columns. The main crowd puller here in the Lake Gardens are the two magnificent lakes, jogging tracks and the mini bird park.

Fronting the lake is another building with a captivating design, the State Mosque with a roof hung from nine pillars, representing the founding historical districts of Negeri Sembilan. Within the park is the State Library, a two-storey colonial edifice built in 1912 which once served as the State Secretariat.

On its ground, ablaze with flowers, stands a monument as a memorial to the fallen heroes of World War II and Communist Insurgency. Besides the sites, you can take a stroll in the fresh air and bracing greenery of the park, watch feathered species at the Bird Park, go for a jog along the placid lake or take the kids to the children's playground.
