 Located at the Esplanade, it
was built in the 1880's. This stately colonial building
is a fine example of British palladian architecture
featuring magnificent Corinthian columns and huge
windows. It was once the seat of local government and
now this famous landmark in Penang has also been used as a background setting for
local film production.
Esplanade is one of the
leading tourists areas in Penang and with heritage
buildings such as the newly renovated City Hall seen
here offering fantastic photographing opportunities and
there is even a hawker centre selling delicious local food at
