The Dharmikarama Burmese Temple in PenangA pair of elephants guard the entrance to this Burmese temple along Burma Lane and the unique carvings on the walls of the temple is an amazing sight. This temple has become one of the famous places of interest in Penang which attracts hundreds of visitors everyday.

 

Within the pagoda grounds is a Boddhi tree and a wishing pond. It is the scene of many activities during the water festival in April and it is packed with devotees during Wesak Day. It it also one the most famous and oldest temple in Malaysia. Outside this temple there are Dharmikarama Temple              many stalls selling local souvenirs which are a worth a look.
