The Putrajaya Botanical
Garden, located at the northern
section of Precinct 1, is a remarkable park designed as an
arcadia on a national sanctuary for Malaysian plant
taxonomy as well as a centre for education and research
and it is one of the most beautiful gardens with exotic
plants and flowers in Malaysia. This famous tourist
attraction in Putrajaya is one of the many stunning
places of interest found here in Putrajaya.
The first phase of the park
is now open to the public. Among the many attractions
available is the Main Building which consists of an
interactive exhibition, restaurant and gift shop whereby
tourist can fill their stomach and do their shopping at
the same time. Other
features of the park include the Explorer's Trail,
Canopy Bridge, Heliconea Trail and Vine Garden, Pearl
Hill, Sun Garden (Orchid Path), Floral Garden (Flora
Steps, African Collection, Tropical African Collection,
Bougainvillea Tunnel, Asia Pacific Collection, Ficus
Shade, Rain Shelter) and Lakeside (Hibiscus Walk),
Lakeside Cafe, Pandanus Walk, Canna Walk and Fern
Garden and strolling along this relaxing atmosphere will
give you a refreshing feeling.
Taman Botani is open to the
public from 9.00 am - 7.00 pm daily while the
interactive exhibition in the main building is open from
Tuesdays to Saturdays : 10.00 am - 6.30 pm.
