THE ROYAL SELANGOR GOLF CLUB IN KUALA LUMPUR

MALAYSIA

One of the best golfing destinations in Kuala Lumpur is at the Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) in Kuala Lumpur. This golf course in Kuala Lumpur is not only liked by the locals but also favored by foreign visitors. The main reason why this golf club in Kuala Lumpur is preferred by many golfers is because of its location as it is situated in the Kuala Lumpur city centre whereby it is also near major hotels and multinational offices.

This specially designed golf course has huge trees surrounding it to keep out the noise which gives golfers a perfect place to play golf in a calm atmosphere. This will allow players to concentrate better. The Royal Selangor Golf Club is actually a private members course which features 45 holes which are very challenging and interesting. Huge trees, ponds, mounds and bunkers seen at this Old Course (Championship Course) give golfers an interesting mix of experience when playing on this green. Golfers will be glad to know that this strictly walking course has its fairways covered by Cowgrass. Bermuda Tifdwarf can be seen at the greens at the Old Course while the New Course has greens made from with M S Supreme Grass. One historic element of this golf course here is that it used to be the venue of the Malaysian Golf Open from 1962 to 1994. Though this golf club no longer hosts this important golfing event in Malaysia, it still holds many important local golfing events.
