At Jalan Gaya (Gaya
Road), open
air street fairs or tamus are held every Sunday.
These fairs are a gathering of traders selling
their farm produce, handicraft and foodstuff and
it is a favorite market place for the locals to go
shopping because they can find almost anything
here and for the tourists, souvenirs and unique
traditional arts and crafts can be obtained at a
bargain. The carnival type atmosphere found at
this Sabah street fairs has since made them
popular tourists attraction.
