One of the best way to
admire Sabah's off the beaten track attractions is
when you are traveling to the small and serene town
of Tuaran. Located slightly more than thirty
kilometers from the capital of Sabah, your journey to this quiet town
and tourist area will
allow you to pass through farms, rubber plantations,
tropical forests and beautiful valleys. The local
Sunday market, known as tamu, is usually packed with
both local and tourists. Places of interest here is
the agricultural station which allows tourists to
learn more about the traditional farming methods and
the grand nine-storey Chinese pagoda. Although this
town is not as famous as some of the bigger towns in
Sabah but your trip to this place will be worthwhile
due to its traditional attractions.
