JUGRA

MALAYSIA

Once the seat of ancient kings, the placid town of Jugra is noted for its several historical and heritage buildings. One of the main attractions here is the Sultan Allaudin Mosque which was built in 1932 and has outstanding elements of classical Moorish architecture. This place of interest in Jugra is also one of the well preserved mosque in the state. The Istana Bandar or Town Palace contains old wood-carvings by Sultan Allaudin. Other tourist attractions such as the Royal Mausoleum, the Jugra Lighthouse and the ruins of the legend shrouded Old Palace are also well worth a visit.
