Selangor town is a quiet town of Kampung Kuantan,
site of one of the largest firefly colonies in
the world. The fireflies which are found in
abundance along the estuarine river system can
be observed on river cruises at night. The
mangroves on the river bank come alive with the
incandescent glow of thousands of fireflies and
this rare sight is definitely something not to
be missed whereby the trees suddenly come alive
with lights flickering on the branches like a
Christmas tree. As the fireflies fly Kampung

night-time tours are extremely popular and sampan
or small boats are easily hired at the jetty
which is also have handicraft complex which is a

Kuantan Fireflies is easily the most unique and
famous tourist attraction in Selangor.
