The Kuala Selangor
Nature Park covers about 800 acres of secondary
scrub wetlands comprising inter-tidal mudflats
and mangrove swamps. It is a world-renowned bird
sanctuary, with about 160 species recorded
mostly migratory birds and this place is a
bird-watchers paradise. Amongst the sightings
at this famous tourist attraction in Selangor include the rare spoon-billed Sandpiper and Nordmann's
Greenshank. Run by the Malaysian Nature Society,
the Kuala Selangor bird sanctuary at the Kuala
Selangor nature Park features hides, paths,
watch-towers and boardwalks with facilities for
lecturers and chalets accommodation and the most
important thing to bring here is your binoculars
so that you can admire the rare bird species
close up.
