Istana Maziah is a famous tourist attraction in Terengganu located just below Bukit Puteri. This impressive palace was built in 1897 under the directive of Sultan Zainal Abidin III which was to replace the burnt down Istana Hijau during World War II. Tourists visiting this palace will be given a first hand look of the blend of modern and traditional architecture seen on this palace which depicts the artistic skills of the Terengganu people. This place has since become the venue for grand official state functions, royal birthdays and weddings.
