The Masjid Tengku Tengah
Zaharah (Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque) is located about
4.5 kilometers away outside Kuala Terengganu and it is built on
the estuary of the Terengganu River. Also known as the
Floating Mosque, this is no
ordinary mosque but one that is unique and said to be
the only one of its kind in Malaysia. Not seen anywhere
else in the region, this sparkling white mosque
intermixes modern
and traditional Moorish architectural designs, the mosque
creates an illusion of itself as floating on water.
Beautifully lit up at night,
the night view is simply awesome and this holy landmark
is one of the most visited places of interest here in
Terengganu besides being the most photographed as well.
This grand mosque in Terengganu is also a top tourist
attraction in Terengganu.
