The Terengganu State Museum
Complex (Kompleks Muzium Negeri Terengganu) is a major landmark and also a popular tourist
attraction in Terengganu. Located at Jalan Losong Ferry,
this museum is made of several buildings which has more
than ten different and interesting galleries, an unique
fisheries museum and also a maritime museum along the
banks of Sungai Terengganu. Some of the main exhibits
seen here include displays of crafts, Islamic articles
and textiles. There is also a full size traditional
Malay sailing vessel being displayed here. This main tourist
area in Terengganu also has four traditional palaces with a botanical
garden and a herbal garden. The most interesting palace
seen here is the Istana Tengku Long which is a
remarkable wooden palace. The various attractions seen
at this Terengganu Museum will keep you occupied the
whole day.
