The Visayas area is
comprised of the central group of islands
between Luzon and Mindanao. It includes the main
islands of Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, Negros, Panay and
Samar. The country's second major getaway is the
Mactan International Airport located in Mactan
Island adjacent to Cebu whereby Cebu is the most
visited of the Visayan islands and it is also
the hub of central Philippines.
Dubbed as the 'Queen
City of the South', Cebu offers good dive sites
accessible from Mactan Island and tourists come
here for a unforgettable scuba diving
experienced. Most of the sites
are located around adjacent Olango Island.
Average depth of dives in these sites is 80 feet
and ideally done from November to June. Located
twenty
minutes from Mactan, Olango Island at Mabini
Point is known for Hammerhead Sharks.
