There are a lot of
dive sites located in the town of El Nido,
Miniloc Island and Taytay Bay at North of Palawan.
El Nido, meaning 'the nest' because of the local
industry of collecting birds nests from the
limestone caves, has beautiful beaches at
Corong-Corong and Lapus-Lapus but the best place
for scuba diving is around the islands of the
Bacuit Archipelago.
These sites have deluxe resorts which offer
recreational activities along with leisure
diving and snorkeling and also day trips for
real adventure treks across the island.
HOW TO GET THERE
Direct access to El
Nido, Palawan from Manila is via regular
chartered flights of Corporate Air. The aircraft
is a 19-seater Dornier and flying time is
approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
