Panglao Island is a
small coralline island located near the southwestern tip of Bohol
and it is linked by two bridges to Bohol. Its coral gardens welcome
you near the surface which are great for
snorkeling. Its best assets are its steep walls
with caves, overhangs and crevices home to
abundant fish and invertebrate life whereby
Alona Beach is being regarded as the divers
favorite diving destination and this beach is
also full of nipa hut guesthouses, bars and dive
shops.

HOW TO GET THERE
The closest airport
is at Tagbilaran in Bohol and there are three
times a week flights which will take an hour
long to fly. It is another half an hour by taxi, jeepney or tricycle to Panglao Island.
Bohol is readily
accessible by sea. High speed ferries run
between Cebu City and Tagbilaran from 7.00 am to
5.00 pm. The trip takes one and a half hours
long. This makes getting to Bohol from other
dive sites in the Visayans quite easy.
