The Zambales Coast
stretches north from Olongapo to Hundred
Islands and although there are some good
stretches of beach, few travelers come this way.
San Antonio, about an hour north of Olongapo, is
a pleasant little town with a market. From
nearby Pundaquit, you can arrange trips out to
Camera and Capones Islands. Iba is the capital
city of the province and has several beach resorts
but most of them unfortunately are rather run-downs. Buses run up the Zambales
Coast from Manila via Olongapo and for the few
tourists who visit this place, they will this
place a good place to relax and escape from the
hustle and bustle of city life.
