Located off the East
Coast Parkway, here is a long stretch of beach
as far as the eye can see and this area is the
most famous tourist attraction in Singapore on
its eastern section. East Coast Park is
where you will find health fanatics jogging and
cycling, anglers waiting for their one big
catch, families gathering for picnics and
barbeque, and lovers on their rendezvous. After
warming yourself in the sun, admiring the
Singapore city skyline in the distance, you can
hire a bicycle or a pair of rollerblades for an
hour or two or indulged in activities whereby

Amuse yourself at
the various leisure attractions, such as a
bowling alley, golf driving range, tennis and
squash courts. Do not worry about not bringing
your own equipment since most of the gear and
equipment can be rented here. And when you are done working out, try
the famous seafood restaurants here which are famous
for their black pepper and chili crabs,
barbequed stingray, deep-fried squid and garlic
prawns, and your trip here will
not be complete unless you try this local
delicacies. Some of the best local food and
catch of the day can be enjoyed al fresco by the
waterfront at the East Coast Seafood Lagoon.
Another popular place to go is the East Coast
Seafood Centre which is always packed with
locals and tourists. Other interesting tourists places to visit in
this eastern part of the city are Geylang and
Katong which area predominantly Malay area.
