The MacRitchie
Trails, located at Thomson
Road, reminds visitors that
Singapore is not just a city with skyscrapers.
Over 100 hectares of primary forest still flourish in
the Central Catchment Nature Reserve,
particularly around MacRitchie Reservoir near
the Singapore Island Country Club. Here,
you will find boardwalks skirting the edge of
the reservoir and tracks that lead you into the
forest with Upper Peirce Reservoir and Lower
Peirce Reservoir located nearby. On Sundays, there are also

free concerts at the bandstands, definitely a
relaxing way to end the day and a perfect place
for a quiet family outing. The MacRitchie

nature paths waiting for the more adventurous

even catch a glimpse of big families of monkeys
swinging from the trees.
