Pasir
Ris Park, located along Pasir
Ris Road, Elias Road, Pasir Ris Green, Pasir Ris
Close and Jalan Loyang Besar, was developed on
reclaimed land. The 70 hectares Pasir Ris Park
is the third largest park in Singapore. What
makes this attraction interesting is its carefully
preserved mangrove swamp.
Boardwalks built into
the swamp bring you closer to its inhabitants
like mud crabs and mudskippers and watching
these little creatures in their natural habitat
can be quite an experience. There is also a
three-storey high observatory tower for
birdwatchers, so Photo: Pasir Ris Park always remember to bring your
binoculars.
Children will
definitely love the playground, the largest in
Singapore, with its challenging giant space-net,
cableways, innovative play stations and a maze
garden and these are guaranteed to provide hours
of fun and laughter to the whole family. For dinner, check
out Fisherman Village, a cluster of alfresco
restaurants where you can savor barbequed
seafood and local dishes to the relaxing sound
of lapping waves and this is an excellent way to
end your perfect day.
