Sentosa Luge is one
of seven attractions within the Imbiah Lookout
area in Sentosa Island. This tourist attraction
is a 650 meters and SGD 5.5 million luge track
with an aerial chair lift cableway that links
the cluster of attractions at the hilltop near
the Carlsberg Sky Tower to Siloso's Beach
entertainment hub on this famous resort island
in Singapore. The Sentosa Luge is a combination
of a go-kart and toboggan. The non-motorised,
three-wheel carrier is the first attraction of
its kind in Southeast Asia. The original luge is
a racing sled for one or two people in which the
rider or riders lie supine.
This safe and
year-round activity can be enjoyed by the whole
family since it provides an enjoyable ride for
both the young and old alike. It slides along a
paved track, depending on gravity to pull it
from Mount Imbiah on the island to the beach,
and can travel at a maximum speed of 40
kilometers per hour on a four-meter-wide track.
This attraction is located in Sentosa because of
the island's gentle terrains and its lush
surroundings. Based on the concept of gravity,
riders can either race down or leisurely Photo:
Sentosa Luge cruise
nicely
along a specially-designed paved trail. The luge
cart mixes an unique steering and braking system
that provides the rider with absolute control.
Also seen here is a two-way chair lift, similar
to a ski lift, which is used to transport riders
through a scenic 320 meters long tree-top ride
back to the starting point where they can
experience this amazing ride all over again.
Jump on the Sentosa Luge and brace yourself for
a brand new adventure whereby once will never be
enough.
Admission: SGD
8.00 per ride (Adult)
