The new Singapore
Discovery Centre (SDC), located at 510 Upper Jurong Road,
allows tourists to take a walk through Singapore's
history and technological endeavors in this
newest twenty-five million dollars state-of-the-art
tourist attraction. Visitors will get to see the macro
view of the Singapore Story and identity which
uses interactive and multi-sensory exhibits
whereby these high-tech interactive exhibits are
created to recognize the challenges and
celebrate the dreams of this magnificent country .
Designed by Ralph
Appelbaum Associates (RAA), this famous tourist
attraction spans over a total floor area of
4,500 square meters and has five spectacular
main galleries consisting of around eight
amazing different themes whereby visitors will
be able to immerse themselves in Singapore's
past, present and future, traveling though time
to important and essential period of Singapore's
nationhood and experiencing them "as they
happen". This unique place of interest is the
only one
of its kind in Asia.

The main
attraction seen here is the world's first and
largest team-based interactive "design studio"
which is called the Visionarium, a gigantic
globe which has a 360-degree wrap around screen
inside whereby during each session, up to 120
people can make creative choices to turn
Singapore into one of the best cities in the
world to live, work and play in and in turn, the
final design is presented on the wrap around
screen for everyone to see. This world-class
attraction is very popular among the younger
generation and it is always
packed during the school holidays.
Some of the other
amazing attractions seen here which will
definitely thrilled visitors include the Gateway
which is an exhibit that uses the three
important elements which are the fire, earth and
wind to present Singapore's colorful history in
a stimulating, edgy and raw manner, the So
Singapore Theatre which showcases the famous
Merlion, the On Location Reporter which takes
viewers on a journey through Singapore's
historic moments, the Security Pavilion which
has a unique Crisis Simulation theatre and the
Unity Pavilion which lets visitors to admire and
celebrate the many wonderful different cultures
and the common way of life that gives Singapore
its distinctive identity as a great country.

9.00am to 6.00pm (Tuesday to Sunday), 9.00am to
8.00pm (Saturday), closed on
Monday except public and school holidays.

2D movie, SGD 15.00

include unlimited movies while extra charges apply
