For feet which
have hard skin on your heels and soles or if you
have dry or cracked skin on your feet, you may
treat them in a special manner. Not only a
refreshing soak is needed but you may required a
hydrating soak and even an overnight balm to
moisturize your feet to ease the process of
exfoliating hard skin.
To start
moisturizing the skin on your feet, you may need
to soak your feet in warm water mixed with
essential oils. A few types of essential oils
that you may use include neroli oil which is
known to smoothen and invigorate the skin and
olive oil which functions as a softener. A
twenty minutes soak will aid in the process of
eliminating hard skin on your heels. After
drying your feet, a method to take away the dead
skin is to use a foot file. You are recommended
to file the hard skin away using a front and
back motion. Always take a break from filing
once in a while to check to see if your skin has
become smoother. Do not over file and stop this
process immediately if your skin starts to hurt.
The common places where your feet tend to have
dead skin are on the heels, at the bottom of
your big toes and the tops of your little toes
and on the balls of your feet.

After filing, you
are then advised to hydrate the newly exposed
part of the feet using moisturizer such as hemp
oil or a shea butter balm. First, apply the balm
or lotion on your feet and then protect your
feet with a deep moisturizing foot bootie or
cotton sock. This step may seem east but the
effect it has on your feet is amazing as the
skin skin on your feet will be hydrated
dramatically.
