To help you feel
really fresh to start the day, there are a few
spa tips and treatments which you can do when
you wake after a long night's sleep. Before
rushing to work or going about your daily
morning routines, spend a few minutes on a
simple self-care methods to get you going.
You may start off
with dry brushing your skin. The method helps
you to get the circulation going and also to
oxygenate cells and most importantly it allows
any impurities to be carried away through the
lymph system. A good place to start light
brushing is from your back and then lightly
brush your arms and legs. You are recommended to
carry on this procedure with an upward motion
because when you are stimulating the lymphatic
system, you are trying to move fluids towards
your heart, so always brush towards the
direction of your chest. To further stimulate
your system, continue with an invigorating body
scrub using a sisal face cloth or mitt.

You may
use an uplifting scented cleansing gel such as
bergamot, grapefruit or lemongrass or you may
also choose some of your favored uplifting
essential oil to an unscented shower gel. Rub
the wet cloth or mitt, which has been added with
a small amount of gel, all over you body in an
upward motions. Your skin is guaranteed to have
a healthy-looking morning glow because of the
gentle exfoliation of this stimulating process.
The rinse your
body with a cold shower for not more than twenty
seconds. Then changed the water to warm and
continue rinsing for about two minutes. Before
finishing, changed the water temperature to cold
for a quick rinse. This whole procedure will
enable better circulation because the change
from warm to cold water indirectly
stimulate the blood flow, thus exercises the
capillary walls and tones tissues. Once you have
dry yourself, spray you body with a mixture of
distilled water, olive oil, rosemary and cypress
essential oils which this mixture is known to
moisturize the skin, energize and stimulate
circulation which will then allow you to face
the day with confidence.
