It is always
important to wake up feeling fresh and energetic
to begin a new day. To achieve this, it is vital
that you get a good night sleep and also an
uninterrupted sleep. If you can sleep like a
log, then you will feel revitalize the next
morning as your body has been properly
recharged. A good sleep will promote a better
mental and physical condition. I am sure
everyone has gone through times when you just
lie there on the bed trying to sleep but you are
unable to do so as there is too much problems in
your mind.
There are several
methods which you can carry out to ensure that
your body is relaxed enough to enable you to
have a perfect sleep. The first thing you can do
is to have a relaxing bath to remove whatever
stress and anxiety that you may accumulate
throughout the day. Soak yourself in a warm bath
mixed with a few drops of chamomile and lavender
essential oils. For a totally relaxed
atmosphere, you may light a candle and switch
off the light for a quiet surrounding.

This will allow you to unwind and let go of all the
tension and worries of the day. After enjoying
about half an hour in the bath, dry yourself off
and apply some lavender oil onto your body for a
soothing massage. Start massaging from your feel
and slowly work towards the direction of your
body. To overcome tiredness in certain spots,
you can make a fist and firmly roll your
knuckles frontward and backward over the aching
area. You will feel that body will start to
loosen up.
To further relax
the nervous system and reduce strain, you are
encouraged to take in a cup of chamomile tea. A
well known medicinal herb in curing insomnia,
drinking a cup of this herbal tea will greatly
relax our body and help in our emotional
condition. When we tend to relax, we can get a
better sleep. It is essential to get a good
night's sleep because sleeping helps to produce
human growth hormone which rejuvenate the energy
level in our body. Poor and inadequate sleep
will make us lethargic and tired. To promote
healthy sleep, carry out the deep belly
breathing technique as you lie on your bed
before going to sleep. Inhale deeply until your
upper chest rise and then breathe out through
your mouth. Do this until you asleep. Another
method that is carried out to calm and relax the
body is to spray your bed with a lavender mist
or rub some lavender essential oil onto your
temples before going to sleep.
