Chaweng Beach (also
known as Hat Chaweng),
located on Ko Samui's east coast, is the most
longest and most beautiful beach in Ko Samui. It
is a six kilometer strip of powder-soft sand
fronted by crystal-clear water. It also has the
island's largest concentration of accommodation,
ranging from five-star resorts to simple bamboo
bungalows and it is definitely within your
budget.
Chaweng is the
centre for water sports activities like
windsurfing and jet-skiing in the day, and it
has a great social scene at night, when the
bars, nightclubs and dance halls of the latest discos pulsate to the latest rhythms
and this place actually offers more amusement
and entertainment than relaxation. For those who
prefer a quieter place, then head off to the
northern part of the beach where the sand begin
to taper off.
